By now, you are probably aware of the fact that former star of The Bachelor, Chris Soules, was involved in a fatal car accident. Initial reports, which included pictures of his mugshot and details of his arrest, claimed that he fled the scene but his legal team says that’s not true.

The attorneys at Des Moines firm Parrish Kruidenier have released a statement saying: “While initial reports suggested Soules fled the scene, the 911 call confirms that Soules in fact was the one who contacted law enforcement immediately. During the call, he clearly identified himself and explained his role in the terrible accident. Soules attempted to resuscitate Mr. Mosher and remained on the scene with him until emergency medical personnel arrived. Soules’ attorneys are exploring the possibility of a gag order to prevent further misinformation from prejudicing Soules’ right to a fair trial.”
According to reports, the collision occurred 15 miles south of his Arlington, Iowa home after Soules rear-ended the tractor driven by 66-year-old Kenneth Mosher around 8:20pm. Contrary to the lawyers’ statement, the Iowa State Patrol claim that Soules fled on foot.
The Buchanan County Attorney’s office added that Soules and his pickup truck were later found and that they were only able to get him out of the residence hours later with a search warrant. This, sadly, makes more sense.
Undoubtedly, we will hear more about this developing story after Soules’ preliminary hearing on May 2, 2017.
